Communication Awards 2012
Applications are now closed. Results will be published after the Award Ceremony to be held on the 10th December 2012.
Have you developed a communication action or campaign, in the field of agriculture and rural development, which you would like to showcase to an international audience?
Then we want to hear from you!
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the European Commission is launching a new initiative to celebrate best practices in the field of communicating its agriculture and rural development policy, the Common Agricultural Policy.
If you represent a professional communication agency, general or specialised media, an NGO or a public administration, you are welcome to apply. Whether your project is completed or ongoing, it is eligible for entry – as long as the implementation phase started no earlier than 1 January 2010.
You can submit your project(s) before 12.00 CET on Monday 22 October for one of the following categories:
Communication to stakeholders
Does your communication action primarily target people with a professional interest, such as decision makers and/or opinion formers, professional organisations, farmers or other stakeholders?
If yes, then choose this category.
Communication to the public
Does your communication action mainly target the general public with clear and easily accessible information relevant to their daily lives?
If so, then choose this category.
Is your communication project, aimed at stakeholders or the general public, particularly innovative and attention-grabbing in the tools, actions or channels of communication used?
Then choose this category.
EU co-financed actions
Does/did your project benefit from funding (via this grant) from the European Commission, and you are proud of its results?
Then please choose this category.
You can submit one project per category or up to three different ones in the same or in various categories.
All applications will be evaluated by a jury made up of communication specialists and of experts in agricultural and rural development policy. Three finalists in each category will be selected to attend the awards ceremony in Brussels in December 2012. An invited audience of communication specialists will vote on the day to decide which winner takes home the trophy for first, second and third place.
You could be one of them!
